Chief Executive Officers of the Leipziger Messe
The Chief Executive Officers of the Leipziger Messe are Martin Buhl-Wagner (spokesman) and Markus Geisenberger.

Martin Buhl-Wagner, Chief Executive Officer
Martin Buhl-Wagner was appointed Managing Director of Leipziger Messe GmbH and its subsidiaries FAIRNET GmbH and Leipziger Messe Gastveranstaltungen GmbH in 2008. He has been spokesman for the executive board at Leipziger Messe and CEO of the subsidiary fairgourmet GmbH since 2010.
Mr Buhl-Wagner holds a degree in industrial engineering from the TU Berlin. After working as a teacher, he took up project management for the Leipziger Messe Group of Companies in 1995. From 2000 he served as head of administration at the MEDICA Clinic for Outpatient Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Leipzig, and from 2002 to 2008 served as authorised signatory for the operational management of Leipziger Messe's subsidiary FAIRNET Gesellschaft für Messe-, Ausstellungs- und Veranstaltungsservice mbH.
Martin Buhl-Wagner is a board member of the AUMA Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (Ausstellungs- und Messe-Ausschuss der Deutschen Wirtschaft), a member of the supervisory board of the European Metropolitan Region of Central Germany (Europäischen Metropolregion Mitteldeutschland) and a member of the executive committee of the Leipzig Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK). He is also Chairman of the Friends and Sponsors of the University of Leipzig (Universitätsgesellschaft Freunde und Förderer der Universität Leipzig) and a member of the Supervisory Board of Leipzig Tourist Service in addition to further business commitments.
Martin Buhl-Wagner was born in Annaberg-Buchholz in 1966. He is married and father to one daughter.

Markus Geisenberger, Chief Executive Officer
Markus Geisenberger has held the position of CEO at Leipziger Messe GmbH since 2010. He is also Managing Director of the subsidiaries LMI Leipziger Messe International GmbH and MAXiCOM GmbH Euro-Asia Business Center.
Markus Geisenberger has a degree in cultural studies from the Universities of Passau and Angers (France) as well as holding an MBA from the University of Edinburgh Business School. He acquired his experience in the trade fair and congress business while working in export promotion and international event management. As one of the founding members of Bayern International GmbH, he was responsible for trade fair projects worldwide. He worked in business development at Deutsche Messe AG in Hanover and held various management positions at Messe München GmbH. His last role in Munich was as business division manager for international technology trade fairs.
Markus Geisenberger represents German trade fair companies on the Association Committee at the ufi Global Association of the Exhibition Industry. He is on the board of trustees of the Industrieverein Sachsen 1848 and the advisory board of the Marketing Club Leipzig e.V. As well as being an active member of several business and academic associations.
Markus Geisenberger was born in Grafenau in 1967. He is married and has two children.

Leipziger Messe Supervisory Board
The Supervisory Board currently comprises 16 members with voting rights. The chair of the Supervisory Board alternates every two years between the City of Leipzig and the Free State of Saxony.
